Experienced Java Developers

Minimum 10 years experience required

Primary tasks are to develop solutions based on business analyst directions. Perform technical QA checks, performance testing, analyzing results and documenting technical deliverables.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide ERP application programming to support implementation including custom modules and extensions required by business logic.

• Design, create, execute and test reports, programs, Forms and interfaces.

• Assist functional business analyst with problem solving.

• Develop program and user documentation for custom code.

• Apply enhancements to existing modifications/custom objects in production

• Develop interfaces with external system sources (flat files and/or web services)

• Develop online data entry screens

• Provide knowledge transfer to as required.

• Develop technical architectures, frameworks and strategies, either for an organization or for a major application area, to meet the business and application and technical support requirements and/or technology initiatives

• Researches developments, techniques and trends in assigned technology area(s) and determines relevance for the organization

• Ensure the integration of all aspects of technology solutions

• Perform impact analysis of technology changes

• Review application and program design or technical infrastructure design to ensure adherence to standards and to recommend performance improvements

• Provide technical mentoring, technical guidelines, and framework to their team. This will include producing detailed technical specifications

• Ability to understand the business goals, strategies, directions and requirements of our clients translating the client's business strategies and requirements into the supporting application, data and technical architectures

• Ensures technical components meet business requirements and comply with defined needs and standards

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 5+ years experience with ERP applications

• 10+ years experience with J2EE application development

• JAVA certifications and experience

• JSP and JBoss experience

• ORACLE certifications and experience

• Experience working in a Production Support setting an asset

• Strong technical skills, especially in programming is preferred

• Experience with enterprise IT environments, challenges, and culture

• Experience with at least one formal architecture definition approach or methodology

• Experience in Modeling and Simulation and the development of simulated environments

• Significant experience in the use of software implementation methodologies
