A Cantest Technician is a skilled technician who is adept at problem solving. Technicians require a broad skill base including mechanical aptitude, electrical/electronic knowledge, an ability to apply mathematical formulas. This position requires both physical and mental exertion. This position will be attractive to problem solvers, people who like new challenges or developing new solutions to existing challenges. People who like to travel and work by themselves. Candidate would be required to travel to service stations throughout Canada. Be independent, self managing, very well organized and responsible for a company work truck. Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full Time Salary: $50,000.00 to $65,000.00 Yearly, Bonus, Commission, Medical Benefits, Disability Benefits, Pension Plan Benefits Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possibl Location: Calgary, Alberta (1 vacancy) Skill Requirements Education: Completion of high school, Some college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): CPCA Petroleum Mechanic Level 1, Standard First Aid, Confined Space Pre-Entry, Transportation of Dangerous Goods Experience: Will train Languages: Speak English, Read English, Write English Testing Equipment and Methods: Ultrasonic, Visual inspection, Nondestructive tests Specific Skills: Conduct tests to ensure quality or detect defects, Calibrate, test and interpret ultrasonic equipment Security and Safety: Criminal record check, clean drivers abstract, pre-employment drug test Transportation/Travel Information: Valid driver's licence, Willing to travel regularly, Travel expenses paid by employer Work Location Information: Various locations Own Tools/Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots, Safety glasses/goggles, Gloves Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Attention to detail, Hand-eye co-ordination, Combination of sitting, standing, walking Essential Skills: Reading text, Document use, Numeracy, Oral communication, Working with others, Problem solving, Job task planning and organizing, Finding information, Computer use, Continuous learning Other: Mechanical ability/computer knowledge beneficial.
